Animal Health and Production graduates (Degree, Diploma and Certificate) Ksh 500

THE KENYA VETERINARY BOARD AS HEREUNDER CLARIFIES ON RETENTION INTO THE REGISTERS FOR 2021;

    • Pursuant to Section 21(3) of the VSVP Act, 2011 “ The retention fee shall be paid before 31st December of every year”
    • Pursuant to Regulation 17 (1) of the VSVP Regulations, 2013 (Legal Notice No. 48 of 14th March, 2013) “Every Veterinary Surgeon and Veterinary Paraprofessional shall undertake Continuous Professional Development Activities in the manner provided by the Board. Further, Regulation 17 (2) stipulates that “a veterinary Surgeon and Veterinary paraprofessional shall not be retained in the register until he has acquired at least 20 and 14 credit points respectively in the year under consideration”.
    • By dint of regulation 17(4) the Board reduced by half the requirement for CPD points 2020 for retention in the 2021 registers.
    • Pursuant to Section 20 (1) of the VSVP Act, 2011 the notice for confirmation of entries in the registers was published in the Kenya Gazette on Friday 12th March, 2021 vide Gazette Vol. CXXIII- No. 51

Applicants should bring original certificates (Academic, Professional and National I. D. Card) to the Board offices. It has been decided that verification and certification of certificates will be done by Kenya Veterinary Board Registration Officers at Kabete. The County Directors of Veterinary Services and ub County Veterinary Officers are advised not to certify the certificates for the applicants anymore.L
